Snow, Weather & Challenge News
Last updated: Thursday 13th March at 5pm.
The M1 Poma was open on Thursday and with cool temperatures and light winds forecast for Friday and Saturday,
it is expected to be open on Saturday and Monday and thus will be the principle uplift for the White Lady Challenge.
The weather forecast for Saturday is for a dry fine day (with just the outside risk of some snow showers pushing up from the South) with
light winds around 15 to 25mph with a temperature at the top station of around -2 to -3[c]. Similar on Monday, but with the wind going round
to the North a chance of some snow showers for the Northern Cairngorms.
Designated Lift: The M1 Poma.
Ski Runs (open Thurs and expected to be available on Sat/Mon):
M1 RaceTrack [pisted]
White Lady [Lower half unpisted]
M1 RaceTrack via 105 Link
Traverse, 105 and Cas Gunbarrel
Traverse, Coire Cas and Zig Zags
The White Lady is complete to the M1 Poma but only suitable for good skiers and boarders, the approach to the M1 is fairly thin so caution is needed.
The M1 has been pisted. The Traverse and Coire Cas are in great condition and provide a well pisted less difficult alternative to the M1 or White Lady.
